I have a bit of an obsession with making letters, especially when they come from unexpected places.
This series was born in the pages of 1970s hobbyist woodworking magazines. I used the technical diagrams and assembly instructions, from the slant of an A-frame leg to the precision of a mortise and tenon joint, to dictate the letterforms. Each character takes shape directly around and within these found illustrations, using their original dimensions and layouts to find its final form.
I’m always looking for fresh perspectives and new ways to build things. Whether you have a specific project in mind or just want to experiment with a new visual approach, get in touch—let’s have a chat and see what we could make together.
